Lead Conversion Research
A patient look at how 30 firms across 7 Texas territories handle first contact — turned into recommendations partners could act on.
Context
During a wealth management internship at The Fox Alliance Wealth Advisors, partners wanted a clearer picture of how competing firms handled first contact with prospective clients. I was glad to dig in — first impressions matter, and the firm deserved better than guesswork.
Problem
Lead practices varied widely across the market, and the firm had no structured view of response times, channels, or message quality among peers in Texas. Without that map, it was hard to know what “good” looked like locally.
Approach
I studied initial-contact practices at 30 firms — including The Fox Alliance — across 7 Texas territories. I recorded communication methods, response times, and message content, then turned the dataset into a report with specific, usable recommendations for the partners.
Result
I presented the findings to the managing partners. On the back of that work, the firm began using instant messaging for outreach — a small change that made first contact warmer and faster for the people on the other end.
