Acquisitions Pipeline Dashboard
A Tableau dashboard that tracks every advisor book of business The Fox Alliance is acquiring — connected live to Box, so the pipeline reflects where each deal actually stands, not last week's export.
Context
The Fox Alliance grows in part by acquiring advisors’ books of business — a slow, deal-by-deal process spread across metros and stages, from a first conversation to a signed agreement to a closed transaction with a household count and revenue figure attached to it.
Problem
That pipeline lived in scattered files on Box, one deal at a time. There was no single place to see where every acquisition stood, what it added up to across the firm, or how it looked market by market — so any conversation about the pace of growth started with someone digging through folders first.
Approach
I built a Tableau dashboard that connects live to Box through its API, so every record — deal stage, projected close date, AUM, revenue — reflects the pipeline as it actually stands rather than a snapshot from last week’s export. Filters let you move from a national view down to a single metroplex or an individual household, with a dark mode for reviewing it comfortably alongside other end-of-day reporting.
Result
Leadership can see the full acquisitions pipeline — AUM, revenue, and deal stage, nationally or narrowed to a single market — without anyone opening a folder or rebuilding a spreadsheet first.
